Transform your World

Join the action to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030

We are honoured to invite you to attend the event ‘Transform your World’ at the Erasmus University Rotterdam on December 8, 2016. In September 2015, leaders from all around the world agreed that we need to “Transform our World”. They even settled on the to-do list: the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and acknowledged that we can only succeed if we work together: governments, private sector, financial sector, non-governmental organisations, philanthropy, knowledge institutes, and citizens.

We invite you to gather around the SDGs and work together on action plans for national and international achievement of the SDGs. On December 8, we offer you a platform to build on the many activities already underway, to link those and reinforce each other and jointly agree on the next steps.

The aim is to have by the end of the day:

  • Plan for joint action on national SDG priorities
  • Solution partnerships of SDG Charter partners
  • Students pitching for solutions on SDG challenges, presented by DSGC companies

We are honoured to have a high level panel and special guests: Lilianne Ploumen (Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation), Bart Romijn (Director Partos), Feike Sijbesma (CEO DSM, initiator Dutch SDG Charter), Paul Polman (CEO Unilever, UN SDG Advocate), Frans van Houten (CEO Philips), Marjan van Loon (President-Director Shell NL), David Nabarro (UN Special Advocate for the SDGs), Maria van der Heijden (Director MVO Nederland), Hugo von Meijenfeldt (National Coordinator Implementation of the SDGs), Hans de Boer (VNO-NCW), Danielle Hirsch (Both Ends), Sahar Afzal (UN Youth Representative) and Jan Peter Balkenende (Chair Dutch Sustainable Growth Coalition).
