Starting March 20th, this 7-week free online course explores the key challenges to achieving SDG 2: end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and ensure sustainable food production systems by 2030. You will learn about the pressing challenges around agriculture and food systems, the central role of agriculture in the Sustainable Development Goals, and development pathways towards global food security and sustainable agriculture. Central themes are nutrition, sustainable agriculture intensification and rural development.
The course is led by Achim Dobermann, Director of Rothamsted Research, together with global experts from Wageningen University & Research (i.a. Prof. Ken Giller), Columbia University, Cornell University, Johns Hopkins University, and Tufts University.
The e-course includes beautiful video lectures, interesting readings, a discussion forum to interact with peer students worldwide, and live chat sessions with the faculty and other sustainability leaders.
The course is free and has absolutely no pre-requisites. You will also receive a certificate signed by the course faculty upon successful completion of the course.
